Located within 20 minutes of Dublin International Airport and in the Dublin commuter belt (with circa 20,000 commuters each day) the town while maintaining its own clear identity has become part of the Greater Dublin Area. Within a 20km (12mls) catchment the population is 104,821 while 60kms (37mls) encompasses a population of 1.7million. The town is located on the M1 Motorway just 50kms (30mls) north of Dublin’s city centre within easy reach of all the facilities of the Capital. There are 35 train departures to Dublin from Drogheda Station each day.

Infrastructure

Drogheda has some of the best infrastructure in Ireland. The M1 motorway provides a route into Irelands growing motorway network. It is also has excellent rail links being licated on the main Dublin to Belfast line. Dublin Airport is only 20 mins away & the town is serviced by both Drogheda & Dublin Ports.

Drogheda boasts excellent broadband fibre communications including a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) & the new 'Project Kelvin' transatlantic fibre link. The town also enjoys state of the art water treatment facilities & excellent connectivity to the ESB power network.

Located close to Dublin, Drogheda provides easy access to 5 major universities and 5 Institutes of Technology the closest of which is Dundalk IT located only 20 mins north. Drogheda Institute of Further Education is also located in the town centre.
