We are very proud of our town which has a rich and varied history. There are fascinating monuments and buildings to see everywhere you look and our location on the ancient and mythical River Boyne, in which swam the famed Salmon of Knowledge, has so much to offer visitors that you'll want to come back again and again. The tourism section of our website already contains a wealth of information for visitors.

Drogheda is also a great place to shop or to do business. Our East Coast Location, only 30 miles from the centre of Dublin along the M1 Motorway, makes us the ideal location for any business or industry. Dublin Airport is an easy 20 minutes on the motorway and we are also very well served indeed by trains, including the Dublin Belfast Express.
