Carberry's has been a public house since the 1850’s and in the current family’s ownership since the 1880’s, the pub is internationally known not only a traditional Irish pub but also a hub of Irish culture. It has been a centre for traditional Irish music, language and singing for generations. For many years the sessions on Tuesday nights attract all grades of musicians, sharing and learning tunes and songs, Many of Ireland's finest traditional players have been known to drop in for one of these sessions. There is also traditional un accomanied Sean Nos singing on Wednesday nights and Bluegrass sessions on Friday nights.
An album “Carberry’s Sessions” is a collection of local and traditional Irish songs and tunes perfomed by some of the musicians who have been regulars at these sessions. Full details of the album http://www.carberryspub.com/index.php/acknowledgements
