Boyne Music Festival

Start Date

Thursday 23 July 2026

End Date

Sunday 26 July 2026

Various Locations in Drogheda, Co. Louth

The Boyne Music Festival returns for its 13th summer with an exciting programme of concerts, tours, workshops, poetry, family events and more. This year’s theme, Forgotten Spaces, reflects on the structures we live in and care for, and those we neglect. Programmes explore materials, construction and deconstruction, and how spaces shape our personal lives and community.

In addition to the the concerts that BMF guests have grown to love and expect, this summer the festival will also present a film screening and photo exhibition. Philip Denvir’s award-winning short film Leave Only Footprints examines Northern Ireland's dereliction crisis through the subculture of urban exploration. The film will be presented alongside a discussion on the same topic, as well as an exhibition of abandoned and forgotten spaces in Ireland by photographer Irishmanlost.

Festival events will take place in both County Louth and County Meath - in Townley Hall, Slane Castle and St. Peter’s Church of Ireland in Drogheda. These three unique historic venues offer elegancy and intimacy while also showcasing the beauty of the Boyne Valley.

The BMF will feature both returning festival artists and many new friends as well. Artists this summer include musicians Lotte Betts-Dean, Deirdre Brenner, Paul Cassidy, Zuzanna Edmonds, Sholto Kynoch, Aisling Manning, Julie-Anne Manning, Éanna Monaghan, John Murphy, Ioana Petcu-Colan, Jacqueline Thomas, emerging composer Samuel Kane, poet Kate Wakeling and many more.
