Join them for an evening of intimate music and song from Ines Tola, Gerry Hodgers, Niamh Parsons & Graham Dunne between 8.30pm - 11pm. Drop in, grab a coffee and cake and enjoy!

Ines Tola comes from Guadeloupe, which is a group of islands of the Eastern Caribbean sea. Her language is Creole and her songs are in Creole. They tell stories about living in exile, crossing oceans, taking new steps, living through the ups and downs in life and making new friends. Her music is deeply rooted in the rich culture and the traditions of her country. Ines is sure to seduce her audience with her incredible vocal range, her soulful voice and her unique guitar style.

Niamh Parsons is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in Irish music, with a singing style often compared to Dolores Keane, June Tabor and Sandy Denny. Described by the Boston Herald as “emotionally haunting” and “clear as crystal,” she has built an international reputation through her powerful interpretations of traditional and contemporary song.

Niamh began performing in the 1980s with the band Killera before turning professional in 1990. She later worked with Arcady, whose album Many Happy Returns won the AFIM Award in the USA. Since launching her solo career with Blackbirds and Thrushes in 1999, she has released a series of acclaimed recordings, including In My Prime, Heart’s Desire, The Old Simplicity and Kind Providence.

Since 1999 she has performed in a celebrated duo with guitarist Graham Dunne, whose sensitive accompaniment brings a unique intimacy and depth to their music.

Dublin-born Graham Dunne is a versatile guitarist, accompanist and music producer. Before joining Niamh Parsons in 1999, he worked with singer-songwriter Seán Tyrrell and many musicians in County Clare, where he lived for two decades. He has taught guitar since the age of sixteen and continues to teach with the Fingal Academy of Music in Balbriggan.

For more than twenty years Graham has toured extensively with Niamh Parsons, performing at festivals and concert halls across Europe, the UK, North America and Australia. His musical interests extend beyond Irish traditional and folk music to jazz, blues, flamenco and Indian music, and he is also a dedicated tabla player.

Graham holds a BSc in Music, Media and Performance Technology and an MA in Music Technology from the University of Limerick. He produced, mixed and mastered Niamh Parsons’ album Kind Providence and the live recording So Here’s to You.

Drogheda based singer songwriter Gerry Hodgers writes from the heart. His songs are quiet reflective types delivered with influences of John Prine, Simon & Garfunkel & Guy Clark. A storyteller who wants to draw you into his world so that you might find something of your story hidden somewhere in the songs.

For many years Gerry hosted the very successful "Purple Sessions" & these days can be found behind the wheel of the Drogheda songwriting festival, where once again himself & Darren A Flynn are championing original singer songwriters of all levels. Gerry has played venues all across the country & has featured on numerous radio shows over the years. Gerry released his debut ep "Song Searching" in 2018.

Night Moves is an innovative night time cultural programme led and produced by Droichead Arts Centre, curated by singer/songwriter, SJ McArdle, in collaboration with Drogheda’s Night-Time Economy Adviser and supported by the Drogheda Purple Flag group. Championing a more diverse night-time offering and helping trial what a more balanced evening economy might look like.
