Celebrating all things Carnival, for children aged 7-11 years, Carnival Collective returns for the second year.
Creating music, dance, costumes, and decorations, culminating in their own mini-Parade. 40 children will work with the Droichead Arts Centre’s Carnival Collective, Kieran Gallagher, Vivienne Byrne, Breda Marron, Yvonne Dowd and Darrin Finnegan, to devise, engage and participate in a series of hands-on workshops exploring what’s involved in creating a mini carnival.
Combining rapid drumming, prop preparation, costume creation and choreography, participants will experience all aspects of carnival creation. Upon completion, all will come together with their newly acquired moves and grooves, and visually creative skills, in their own parade. Inclusivity will be at the heart of the day, ensuring that all children can participate regardless of ability.
Free, but limited places, so booking is essential. Please note there is no booking fee when you book. Visit Website for more details.
