The streets of Drogheda come alive with ghoulish antics as the Spooks Parade 2026 launches the Lú Festival of Light this October!

A participative collaborative cross community arts project, with primary schools, across Drogheda and East Meath. The Spooks Parade is produced and co-ordinated by Droichead Arts Centre, with Artistic Direction by artist/musician Kieran Gallagher (Kada Ka Boom Arts).

Four primary schools, Drogheda Special Olympics and Droichead Youth Theatre will participate; working with the artistic team of: Breda Marron (sculptor), Yvonne Dowd Gardiner (Visual Artist), Darrin Finnegan (Grafitti Artist), Vivienne Byrne (Mixed Media Artist) and choreographer Tracy Martin (Kidkast). Additional singers and musicians will also be involved as well as other children and families who will join the back of the parade on the day.

Funded by the Arts Council, Creative Ireland, Drogheda Credit Union, Louth County Council and Meath County Council, and Drogheda's Night Time Economy Advisor.
