Theatre Club: King by Pat Kinevane

The story of Luther, a man from Cork named in honour of his Granny BeeBaw’s hero, Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Luther only leaves his apartment for essential journeys, and to perform as an Elvis impersonator. The play explores prejudice, privilege, and resilience, as Luther struggles to live life to the full. Developed with the support of Nasc Network Commission and Georganne Aldrich Heller.

This season is a very special one, celebrating 10 years of Theatre Club, kicking off with their annual trip to the Abbey Theatre to see Dublin Gothic, a new play by Barbara Bergin, followed by a full season celebrating the work of Pat Kinevane with his 5 award-winning solo performances: Forgotten, Silent, Underneath, Before and King.
